Our Story: The Heart of Gennadi’s Cats
This group began with a shared spirit of caring, igniting the kind of meaningful connections that can truly transform a community. Many of us started by quietly feeding and caring for cats near our homes, each noticing who was missing, and worrying about the sick ones, the kittens, the mothers, and the injured. While we were each doing what we could, sometimes it felt overwhelming. Yet, it’s that very compassion that drew us together. Over time, we discovered one another - kindred spirits united by a common concern and love for our village and its feline inhabitants. Recognising that we were not alone in our aspirations, we decided to join forces and form a vibrant volunteer group. We came together not because we had endless time or resources, but because we believed in the strength of collaboration. Together, we realised we could accomplish so much more than we ever could alone. Each of us contributes unique strengths - whether it’s time, transport, trapping, feeding, organising, fundraising, or simply showing up to lend a hand. These individual gifts, when combined, have created something truly special. And we’re already seeing positive changes. Cats have been neutered, fed, and cared for in ways that once felt insurmountable, but now, as a united group, we are empowering one another to face these challenges head-on.
We’re continuously evolving, learning, and striving to make a bigger impact with the resources we have.
At the heart of everything we do lies a shared commitment:
We love this village.
We cherish its cats.
And we believe that compassion has a vibrant home right here.
Together, we can continue to strengthen our community and create a brighter future for all its inhabitants.

Our daily dedication
We care for local cat colonies near our homes, providing food, basic care, and vet support, including trapping, transport, and sterilisation.
Why our work matters
The cats of Gennadi are part of daily village life, and caring for them reflects our community spirit. Our aim is to reduce unwanted litters, improve health, provide reliable food, and prevent suffering through neutering, medical care, and responsible colony management. The result is a calmer, kinder village that visitors notice and admire.
